El Campus de «El Carmen» de la Universidad de Huelva acogió la Celebración Oficial del Día de la Química 2016, organizada por el Foro Química y Sociedad junto con la Asociación de Industrias Químicas, Básicas y Energéticas de Huelva (AIQBE), entidad que este año celebra su 30º Aniversario, y que ha contado con la asistencia de destacadas autoridades del gobierno regional y local.

Han participado en la inauguración el profesor Prof. Dr. Pedro J. Pérez,Vicerrector de Investigación y Política Científica de la Universidad de Huelva; Ricardo Bogado, Primer Teniente de Alcalde del Ayuntamiento de Palos de la Frontera; José Luis Menéndez, Vicepresidente de la Asociación de Industrias Químicas, Básicas y Energéticas de Huelva; y Juan Antonio Labat, Secretario General del Foro QUÍMICA Y SOCIEDAD, quien ha presentado un informe de las actuaciones más relevantes del Foro en el presente año y entre las que cabe mencionar el auspicio de la Declaración Internacional de la Química en el seno del 6º Congreso de Química EuCheMS celebrado en Sevilla, cita líder que reunió a especialistas de todo el mundo.

Durante la Ceremonia el Presidente de la Asociación Nacional de Químicos de España, Ernesto Castañeda, entregó el Premio ANQUE del Año 2016 a Enrique Vaqué Urbaneja, Decano del Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Químicos de Valencia y miembro de la Asociación de Químicos de Valencia.
